Geha Psychiatric Hospital

Located in close proximity to the Rabin Medical Center in Petach Tikvah, the Geha Mental Health Center is one of the leading centers for treatment, research and teaching in the mental health arena. Founded in 1942, it serves children, teens, adults and their families.

Geha provides a high level of residential and outpatient services. It has one of the lowest levels of return residential patients in the country. With a staff of 300 — including 50 psychiatrists, 35 psychologists, 100 nurses and 20 physical and occupational therapists — Geha treats a diverse range of mental health patients. Geha has over 150 beds in its day care and outpatient units. Geha provides addiction and suicide prevention services, as well as 24 hour emergency psychiatric care.

The Center is affiliated with the Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University. Many of Israel’s prominent mental health professionals trained at Geha.
